Keanu Reeves placed 25th out of 35 in his professional racing debut at the Toyota GR Cup

Keanu Reeves made his professional racing debut at the Toyota GR Cup on October 5, 2024, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Competing alongside 35 other drivers, Reeves, driving his No. 92 BRZRKR car, initially qualified 31st but managed to climb as high as 21st during the race. However, partway through the race, Reeves spun out at Turn 9 and ended up on the grass, but he was able to recover without crashing and continued to race, finishing in 25th place.

Despite the spin-out, Reeves displayed skill, especially as he avoided a collision on Turn 14 in the first lap. The race was part of a Toyota spec-racing series leading up to the Indy 8 Hour event. Reeves, who is a passionate motorsports fan, has previously raced in celebrity events, winning the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach in 2009.

His involvement in the race also promoted his graphic novel, “The Book of Elsewhere.” Keanu’s love for motorsports goes beyond racing, as he recently presented a documentary series about Brawn GP’s success in Formula 1.

Reeves continued his racing journey with a second race scheduled for the following day, making this experience a memorable and exciting step into the world of professional racing
