Prince Louis and His Siblings Are ‘Likely Asking Questions’ About Prince Harry – You Won’t Believe Why
|Is it just me, or are Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis growing up fast? George is set to be king one day, while Charlotte and Louis will likely have exciting royal lives. For now, the most important thing is that they get to enjoy being kids, and it seems like Prince William and Kate Middleton understand that well.
Meanwhile, across the ocean in the US, their cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are growing up in a multimillion-dollar mansion. Though they are far from the British press, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made sure their children stay in the public eye with their actions.
Sadly, reports say that George, Charlotte, and Louis have lost contact with their uncle Harry. George and Charlotte had built a strong bond with Harry before he left the Royal Family, which might come back to trouble William and Kate, according to a royal expert.
When Prince George was born in 2013, Harry was thrilled. He imagined visiting regularly for playdates, but in his book *Spare*, he shared that he felt shut out by William and Kate, saying he was “never invited” over.
“I took it for granted that I would be invited to their house at any moment. But the days went by, and it didn’t happen,” Harry wrote. He understood that they were busy with family life but hoped things might change when he got married.

Two years later, when Princess Charlotte was born, Harry built a bond with both his nephew and niece. However, Prince Louis was just two years old when Harry left the UK, and it’s clear that the youngest royal doesn’t have the same connection with his uncle.
Harry has expressed his desire to be part of their lives. He also regrets that his own children, Archie and Lilibet, have barely seen their cousins.
Though Louis was too young to build a relationship with Harry, his uncle still put effort into making meaningful gestures. When Louis was christened, Harry made sure to find the perfect gift. Inspired by his mother, Princess Diana’s love for collecting first editions, Harry wanted to continue the tradition with his nephews and nieces.
“One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was being read bedtime stories by his mother. She loved the old classics, and Harry had the great idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte, and George to enjoy as they grow up,” a close source told the *Daily Record*.

Harry decided to buy an original edition of *Winnie the Pooh* by A.A. Milne, which cost him around £8,000 ($10,000).
Reports say Harry chose a rare copy from the first print run of 30,000 copies in 1926.
“He originally thought about buying *Through The Looking Glass* by Lewis Carroll, which was on sale for £24,000, but he decided that *Winnie the Pooh* was more appropriate for a first book. William’s favorite was *Robinson Crusoe*, but Harry loved A.A. Milne’s stories,” the source added.
Although Harry clearly loves his brother’s children, he has some concerns. In an interview with *The Telegraph* to promote his book, Harry shared his worries about Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis possibly becoming “spares” like him.
“William and I have talked about it once or twice. He made it clear that his kids are not my responsibility, but I still feel responsible because I know that out of those three, at least one will end up like me, the spare,” Harry said.
“And that hurts, and it worries me.”
Harry continued: “I was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy. I was there to provide backup, distraction, or even spare parts—like a kidney, blood transfusion, or bone marrow if needed. This was made clear to me from the start and reminded to me throughout my life.”
**Prince William & Kate Middleton “aware” of possible ‘Spare’ issues**
At the time, royal expert Ingrid Seward criticized Harry for his comments about Charlotte and Louis, suggesting he should “lay off Prince William’s children.”
But despite Harry’s concerns, recent reports say that Prince William and Kate Middleton are fully aware of the potential challenges.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told the *Mirror* that the Prince and Princess of Wales “must be acutely aware” of the issues Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte might face as “spares.”
“They’ve already shown a modern approach to raising their royal children, and I’m sure they will make sure Charlotte and Louis feel just as special, loved, and valued as George,” Bond told the *Mirror*.
“I imagine they’ll encourage Louis to explore opportunities outside the royal duties—maybe the military, charity work, or whatever he finds interesting after school. I’m also sure they’ll support him going to university, which they both enjoyed and where, of course, they found love.”
The royal expert continued: “From there, William and Kate will want Louis to find a meaningful life, fitting for the son of a future King. They’ll work to ensure he feels he’s living a valuable life, no matter his place in the line of succession. They’ve emphasized that service and empathy are important, not only as a kindness to others but as something rewarding for him as well.”
**Prince Louis could have his own career outside the royal spotlight, expert says**
As Bond suggested, William and Kate might encourage Louis to explore his passions outside of royal life. If he chooses to stay within the royal family, he will likely take on an important role and receive significant titles.
But Bond isn’t the only one suggesting Prince Louis might do more than just royal duties. In an interview with *OK!* via *Yahoo*, royal expert Camilla Tominey, who is also an associate editor at *The Telegraph*, said William and Kate would want Charlotte and Louis to “have their own careers” if they prefer.
“William and Kate don’t want history to repeat itself, with Prince Louis becoming just a royal ‘hanger-on’ like the Duke of York,” Tominey told *The Telegraph*.
“Many of the more minor royals have their own careers and are not funded by taxpayers,” she added. “The way the Cambridges have tried to give their children a more normal life suggests that, while Prince George has his future mapped out, Charlotte and Louis could have their own careers if they choose.”
Tominey concluded: “William and Kate need to balance what their children want to do with their lives and their royal duties.”
“We might see fewer royals in the future than we’re used to. But the question is, will there be enough royals to handle everything?”
**”In their family, it would never be the ‘heir and spare’”**
In an interview with *Hello! Magazine*, parenting expert Jo Frost said that William and Kate would never let Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis feel like they are just “heir and spare” to Prince George.
“I believe William and Catherine understand how important it is to nurture the sibling relationships between all three of their children,” Frost said.
“In their family, it wouldn’t be about an ‘heir and spare.’ It would be about all of them being equally important. They understand it takes teamwork to support the monarchy.”
The relationship expert added: “We’re seeing the early signs of what it means for them to support each other and grow together as a family.”
While Prince George and Princess Charlotte likely have memories of spending time with their uncle Harry, Louis doesn’t. It’s unclear if the kids fully understand why Harry isn’t around, but that could change soon.
Speaking to GB News, royal commentator Lydia Alty said that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are “likely asking questions” about their uncle, Prince Harry, and what really happened when he left the Royal Family.

“Prince Harry used to be very close to his brother, Prince William, and also close to William’s wife, the Princess of Wales, and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis,” Alty said.
“Harry was even close to his father, despite reports and claims that suggested otherwise. Now that the family is separated and, as far as we know, not speaking to each other, this will have affected George, Charlotte, and Louis.”
Lydia Alty added: “His nephews and niece are probably wondering why they haven’t seen their uncle Harry or their cousins.”
