Tiger Woods’ Son Stuns Golf World with First Hole-in-One at Just 15!

Tiger Woods’s son wowed the audience at a professional golf event over the weekend with an incredible achievement, blending talent, legacy, and family love.

Charlie Woods grabbed attention during the final round of the PNC Championship 2024 by hitting his first-ever hole-in-one on Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Florida. The 15-year-old accomplished this on a par-3 hole using a 7-iron.

In a video capturing the moment, Charlie showed great focus as he swung smoothly and watched the ball’s flight.

The ball landed about six feet to the left of the hole and rolled gently into the cup.

As the ball disappeared, Charlie paused mid-step, raised his hand to waist level with an open palm, and smiled in surprise.

The crowd cheered loudly as Charlie turned to his dad, Tiger, for a warm hug. Their matching red shirts and black pants made the moment even more special, resembling Tiger’s classic style.

Tiger, clearly proud, shouted, “Yeah!” and gave Charlie a playful nudge as they celebrated the milestone together.

After the game, Charlie talked about his achievement with excitement. “It was awesome,” he said. “No one made a mistake today, so it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. On top of that, I got a hole-in-one. I don’t think I can beat that.”

For Tiger, the moment was just as meaningful as any in his famous career. “That’s one of the best highlights we’ve ever had,” he said.

Reflecting on Charlie’s progress in golf, Tiger added, “On the hole before, he got his first eagle (in a previous PNC), and now he’s just made his first hole-in-one. It’s an amazing two-hole stretch. I’m so happy for him and for the time we shared as a family.”

Although Tiger admits he isn’t in top physical shape for competitive golf, he values being a reliable teammate in scramble-style tournaments, where players work together to get the best results.

He shared that the best part of the event was teaming up with Charlie and enjoying these special moments on the course.

Team Woods tied for the lead after the first round with a score of 13-under 59, matching Team Langer (Bernhard and Jason Langer) and Team Singh (Vijay and Qass Singh), creating an exciting final round. In the playoff, Team Langer won the title with a precise approach and an 18-foot eagle putt.

Team Woods finished second, their second top-two finish at the PNC Championship. Their best result before was in 2021, when they placed second, just two strokes behind John Daly and his son, John Daly II.

After Team Langer’s victory, Bernhard praised Team Woods and said, “I’m sure they’ll win this tournament in the next few years. They’re just too good.”

Although Tiger remains one of golf’s greatest players, he admitted in a recent Golf Channel interview that his son had beaten him in a game. “Yeah, he beat me for nine holes. He hasn’t beaten me for 18 yet. That day is coming. I’m just delaying it as long as I can,” Tiger said.

As the son of one of the most famous golfers ever, Charlie faces high expectations. But Tiger offers his son simple advice. “Charlie is Charlie. Yes, he’s my son, and he’ll always have that name in golf, but I just want him to be himself,” he said.

Tiger continued, “That’s what we focus on and will always focus on. I’ll always encourage him to make his own name, follow his own path, and create his own journey.”

Tiger admitted that being under the spotlight is something Charlie must handle as he grows, both as a golfer and a person. “I try to do my best as a parent,” Tiger said. “I’ll always be there for him.”

Charlie’s hole-in-one at the 2024 PNC Championship showed his talent and the deep bond between him and Tiger, creating an unforgettable moment in their golfing journey.
