My Husband Avoided Taking Pictures of Me – His Cruel Reason Will Shock You
|Traveling to Mexico felt like a dream come true. My husband, two kids, and I were supposed to have the time of our lives. Just thinking about it made me happy. But when we arrived, my husband’s behavior made me question his feelings for me. He refused to take any pictures with me, and that left me confused. Finding out the truth broke my heart.
When we got to Mexico, I thought we were going to enjoy ourselves like never before. A few days before the trip, I found out I had inherited money and property from my uncle. I planned to tell Luke, my husband, while we were on vacation.
But his constant refusal to take any pictures of me was strange and made me feel uneasy.
Whenever I asked him to take a picture, he would say things like, “Not now, Hannah,” or “I’m not in the mood to take pictures right now. Maybe later.”
It didn’t make sense because taking a picture only takes a few seconds. But Luke didn’t seem willing to spare even that time for me.
This went on for days. Then one day, he left his phone on the bed, unlocked, while he was taking a shower.
It felt wrong to look at his phone, like I was violating his privacy. But I had to know if there was a reason behind Luke’s behavior.
And there it was—a message in his group chat with his friends.
He had written: “Imagine, guys, at her weight, she still wants me to take pictures of her. In what part of the picture would she even fit? She’s changed completely since giving birth.”
Those words broke my heart. I had no idea my husband thought so poorly of how I looked.
Without thinking twice, I took a photo of myself and posted it online with the caption: “Is my appearance so unattractive that even my husband doesn’t want to take pictures of me?”
Within minutes, I started getting supportive comments and messages from people.
When Luke came out of the bathroom and saw my post, he acted like he didn’t know why I had done it. So I reminded him of the messages he had sent to his friends.
“By the way,” I added, “I inherited my uncle’s property and money. I’m moving into his house and separating from you.”
I couldn’t stay with someone who found me repulsive.
When Luke realized I had inherited money, he started apologizing. But I knew he was only sorry because of the money.
I packed my bags, took my kids, and left, leaving Luke behind.
I don’t know what the future holds for me and my children, but I know one thing: staying with someone like Luke is not what I deserve.
