Barron Trump’s Inauguration Moment With Joe Biden Sparks Heated Debate
Was it Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, who truly stole the spotlight at his father’s inauguration? For many, the answer is a definite yes.
Barron, now 18, started his freshman year at New York University’s Stern School of Business in September 2024. He is pursuing a degree in business and finance.
Currently, Barron lives at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan and commutes to campus for his classes. His mother, Melania, shared in a September 2024 interview with Fox, “It was [Barron’s] decision to come here. He wants to study and live in New York, his home.”
Still, Melania is reportedly keeping a close eye on her son.
“Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the cards for him right now,” an insider told People in December 2024. “Melania feels it’s better to be around him as much as possible.”

“Instead of just walking behind them like he did when he was younger, he now shakes hands and exchanges gracious words,” James explained. “This defines his presence without overshadowing his father.”
According to James, Barron’s height and confident manner give him a “princely air” and a commanding presence of his own.
One moment that caught everyone’s attention was Barron’s brief interaction with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman revealed that Barron greeted Biden with, “G’day to you, sir,” before turning to Harris and saying, “Ma’am, good day.”
Biden replied, “It’s good to see you, man.”
James observed that Barron leaned forward “very confidently” and “charmingly” to shake hands with Biden.
Although Biden’s expression seemed to fall briefly, James clarified that it wasn’t due to anything sinister. Instead, it appeared Biden was simply reacting as Barron moved on to greet Kamala Harris.
The young man’s manners were widely praised online, with many applauding him as well-spoken and giving credit to Melania for raising him so well.
