Just before 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday night, an American Airlines passenger jet carrying 67 people collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near the runway at Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C.

Several members of the U.S. Figure Skating team were on the flight when the crash happened.

A major search and recovery effort is underway in the Potomac River, where both aircraft ended up after the crash. On Thursday morning, officials stated that it appears no one survived.

The plane was flying to Washington, D.C., from Wichita, Kansas. It was just moments from landing when the collision occurred. Overnight, U.S. Figure Skating confirmed that at least 14 members of their community were on board. The skaters had been in Wichita for the U.S. Championships held over the weekend.

The Army helicopter had three soldiers on board and was on a routine training mission at the time of the crash.

Authorities are slowly releasing the names of those who died. Below is the confirmed list of victims identified by their families.
