Fans Are ‘Tired’ of Seeing Taylor Swift at Games – Will She Attend the Super Bowl 2025?

Taylor Swift has been a regular at Kansas City Chiefs games for over a year. But as the team heads to Super Bowl LIX, some fans are growing tired of seeing her and wondering if she will be there again.

Swift has been making headlines in the NFL, not for her music but for supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. As the Chiefs prepare to play in the Super Bowl on February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, people are speculating about whether she will attend.

Swift’s relationship with Kelce has brought massive media attention and even new viewers to football. The 14-time Grammy winner has been spotted in luxury suites throughout the season, including at last year’s Super Bowl when the Chiefs won against the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion and one of the best tight ends in NFL history, has gained even more popularity because of his relationship with Swift. Many new fans have started tuning in to watch his games.

While Swift’s presence has been a big commercial boost for the NFL, some fans are frustrated with the constant attention on her during broadcasts. Some feel she is overshadowing the game itself.

According to Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, Swift will be at the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend and the Chiefs. In an interview on February 4, Jason confirmed that “Trav and Taylor” will be at the event with their family and friends.

Swift has been attending Chiefs games since September 2023. Most recently, she celebrated on the field with Kelce after the team’s AFC Championship win against the Buffalo Bills on January 26.

This year, if the Chiefs win against the Philadelphia Eagles, they will become the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a row, making this game even bigger than last year’s.

Even though Swift is expected to be at the game, reports say she plans to stay out of the spotlight. A source told The U.S. Sun that she “doesn’t want to be the center of attention” and will arrive in New Orleans only a day or two before the game.

Unlike last year, when she rushed from Tokyo to Las Vegas to watch Kelce play, this time, she is in a more relaxed position. After taking a break from her exhausting “Eras Tour,” she is reportedly “way more rested and relaxed” for the event.

The source also mentioned that Swift wants Kelce to have his moment. “She is dreaming about him making history and winning another Super Bowl,” they added.

Many wonder why Swift has never headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show, given her star power. The main reason is timing.

She turned down the chance to perform at Super Bowl LVII because she was busy re-recording her first six albums after a dispute with her former label.

For Super Bowl LVIII, she was focused on her tour. A source told the Daily Mail that Swift is “in no rush” to take on the performance and wants to do it when the time is right.

The source added that Swift reminds her team that Madonna was 53 when she performed at the Super Bowl. While many expect Swift to headline one day, it won’t be this year.

Not all fans are happy about Swift getting so much attention in the NFL. Many have taken to social media to express frustration over the focus on her rather than the actual game.

One fan posted, “Normally I’d root for the Chiefs… not this time. Broadcasters will flood us with Taylor Swift.. I cannot stand her. Enough already.” Another agreed, saying, “I really can’t take another Taylor Swift Super Bowl. It’s just too much.”

Some viewers feel that the NFL has become too commercialized. One person wrote, “Reasons I won’t be watching: the halftime show is terrible, the refs will make sure the Chiefs win, and I don’t want to see Taylor Swift every five minutes.”

Others think the game’s ratings will drop because of Swift’s presence. A fan predicted, “This could be one of the lowest-rated Super Bowls in years. People are sick of hearing about Taylor Swift.”

Even some Swift fans admit that her presence has affected their love for the sport. One person said, “I love Taylor Swift, but she has completely ruined football for me. I don’t even like the Chiefs anymore because of her.”

Other fans are frustrated with both the Chiefs and the Swift coverage. “I’m so tired of the Chiefs and Taylor Swift,” one person bluntly said.

Another added, “I don’t want to watch the Super Bowl this year. It’s the same teams again, and I have to see Taylor Swift the whole time. It’s boring.”

Aside from the Chiefs’ potential historic win, Super Bowl LIX will feature a star-studded lineup. Kendrick Lamar will headline the Halftime Show, with SZA joining him.

Jon Batiste will perform the national anthem, and Lauren Daigle and Trombone Shorty will sing “America the Beautiful.” Ledisi will also perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

With Swift confirmed to be in attendance, her presence will surely be a major talking point. Whether it adds to the excitement or distracts from the game remains up for debate.
