It all started when Officer Carson spotted a speeding car on a quiet road near the Lake of the Ozarks. Wanting to enforce the law, she turned on her emergency lights and began a chase. But the driver refused to stop and sped away.

During the pursuit, Officer Carson lost control of her patrol car, which veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The impact was so severe that the car caught fire, trapping her inside. Sadly, she did not survive.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Christopher Aaron Bishop Wehmeyer, kept fleeing but later crashed and was caught. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is now investigating the case.
