A grandmother was tricked and left in a nursing home by her beloved grandson. She decided to teach him a lesson and left him an envelope with some money and a letter that would haunt him forever after her death.

One day, 74-year-old Gloria was sipping coffee by her window when her caretaker, Sophie, rushed in. “Mrs. Watson, your grandson is here to see you!”

Gloria had not seen any visitors for over a year. When she heard Todd was there, she was not excited because she knew why he had come. It was always about money. That was all he and his wife Natasha cared about.

“Mrs. Watson, do you need help to go to the lobby, or shall I take you there?”

“I’ll take care of it, dear. My grandson can wait. I need to get ready. I must look my best since I haven’t seen him in a long time,” Gloria said as she searched her cupboard for a nice dress. As she went through her clothes, she thought deeply and began to cry.

“I should have never trusted him,” she thought. “That was my biggest mistake. If only I had known their plan earlier, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Five years ago, Gloria lived alone in the house she inherited from her late husband. Todd was married and lived separately with Natasha. He only visited his grandmother once a year at most.

Gloria was in shock. She had no idea Todd had lied to her. She had trusted him completely and never imagined he would betray her.

“I’m sorry, Thomas. I shouldn’t have sold our house,” she cried as she held her late husband’s photo.

A few days later, Todd and Natasha approached Gloria with a brochure about a nursing home.

“This place looks amazing. But why are you showing this to me?” Gloria asked.

The next week, Todd dropped her off at the nursing home, promising to visit soon. But that “soon” came only once a year during the holidays.
