Lana Del Rey Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors, Reveals Nonsurgical Treatment Instead
|Los Angeles, CA — After years of speculation about her appearance, Grammy-winning singer Lana Del Rey has set the record straight: she has never had plastic surgery. The Born to Die star, however, did reveal that she has undergone a minor nonsurgical cosmetic procedure to subtly change the look of her nose.
Responding to Fans Online
On Sept. 23, Del Rey, 40, engaged with fans on Instagram after a post about her 2008 EP Kill Kill, released under her former stage name Lizzy Grant. One fan wrote: “Her natural nose was so perf.”
Del Rey was quick to clarify the truth.
“Still never even been under the knife or anesthesia in my life for the 15th year in a row!!”
She explained that the change in her appearance came from a simple seven-minute filler procedure performed by her doctor, which built up the bridge of her nose without surgery.
What Is Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty?
The treatment Del Rey described is often referred to as a nonsurgical rhinoplasty or “liquid nose job.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, the procedure uses dermal fillers to temporarily adjust the shape of the nose, avoiding invasive surgery.
-
Procedure time: 10 minutes or less
-
Recovery: minimal downtime
-
Results: typically last up to 6 months
Unlike traditional rhinoplasty, this option relies on injectable fillers, making it a quick and temporary way to enhance facial features.
New Music on the Horizon
Alongside clarifying her cosmetic choices, Del Rey is preparing for her highly anticipated upcoming album. In an interview with W Magazine last month, she revealed that her new LP, Stove, will be released in January 2026 after a slight delay.
Earlier this year, she teased fans with two singles, “Bluebird” and “Henry, Come On,” which hint at a fresh direction for the project.
The album sees her collaborating with acclaimed producers Luke Laird and Jack Antonoff. According to Del Rey, much of the record will carry a country-inspired sound, blending her signature storytelling with Americana influences.
She even considered recording a full country covers album titled Country and Western, featuring songs like “California Dreamin’” and Joni Mitchell’s “California.”
“The storytelling is there in both,” Del Rey said. “And I’m always drawn to world-creating, especially in country music.”
A Transparent and Evolving Artist
By addressing the plastic surgery rumors directly, Lana Del Rey reminded fans of her trademark honesty. While she hasn’t turned to the knife, her openness about trying a nonsurgical option highlights how celebrities are reshaping beauty conversations.
And with Stove on the way, it’s clear Del Rey is entering yet another transformative era — musically and personally.
