“I’m about to play Othello at 70,” Denzel said. The two-time Oscar winner also hinted at working with directors Steve McQueen and Ryan Coogler, who may have a role for him in the next *Black Panther* movie. Denzel also mentioned projects like *King Lear* before adding, “After that, I’m going to retire.”

Denzel Washington’s career started in 1977 with the TV film *Wilma*, and he made his movie debut in 1981 with *Carbon Copy*. Since then, he’s become one of Hollywood’s top actors, known for memorable roles in films like *Glory*, *Training Day*, and *Malcolm X*. His incredible talent and passion have earned him many awards and widespread praise.

Earlier this year, Denzel talked about wanting to be part of *Gladiator II*.

“There aren’t many films left that interest me, and I need to feel inspired by the director,” he explained.
