A woman named Miriam Cruz is reportedly facing a divorce after a kiss with US singer Romeo Santos during a performance.
Cruz was at a concert in the Dominican Republic on December 28, where she jumped on stage during a live performance by bachata group Aventura. The footage shows her greeting the band members before hugging and kissing the band’s lead singer, Romeo Santos.
After the show, Cruz shared a message on social media (which she later deleted) explaining that the kiss had led to the breakdown of her marriage. She said, “I have to acknowledge that this achievement came at a very high cost: the breakup of my 10-year marriage.”
She also admitted that the kiss happened because she was nervous and excited, without thinking about how it would affect her family. Despite the split, she said she was happy about fulfilling her dream of being on stage with Aventura, something she had always wanted to do.
Cruz, who has about 140,000 followers on TikTok, expressed that she was sad but understood her husband’s decision to divorce. She apologized, saying, “It was never my intention to hurt you,” and added that she hoped they could maintain peace for the sake of their children.
On TikTok, Cruz had often posted videos showing her happy family life with her husband and their children, but now the situation has changed. Some of her followers supported her, saying they would have also been thrilled to be on stage with Aventura and criticized her soon-to-be ex-husband for being insecure.
While she still respects her ex-husband’s decision, Cruz admitted she felt sadness over the situation.
Aventura, the band that brought Cruz onto the stage, is a famous bachata group from the Bronx, New York, consisting of Romeo Santos and other members. The group was on a reunion tour and had a break planned until January 5, as the members focus on their solo projects.
