Due to the C0VID-19 pande’mic, the couple didn’t see each other for three years, but the recent reunion was very emotional, and Winslet admitted in an interview that she couldn’t stop crying.
“I have known him half my life. It’s not like I’m in New York or she’s in London and there’s an opportunity to have dinner or coffee and talk,” the actress told The Guardian. “We cannot leave our country. Like many friends around the world, we miss each other because of C0VID-19.”
Winslet also spoke about her affection for DiCaprio. “He is my friend, my very close friend. We are connected for the rest of our lives.” For publication, the actress said that she was 21 years old on the set of Titanic, and Leonardo was 22 years old. More than 25 years later, their relationship remains strong.
Titanic isn’t the only work Kate and Leonardo have worked on together. In 2008, they starred in the feature film Revolutionary Road, which earned her the Winslet Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama Film.
They are a real iconic best friend in Hollywood, they always respect each other so may be they decided to stay friend instead of married.
