Nelly Furtado is embracing her true self in 2025.
The 46-year-old Canadian singer showed off her curves in a bright orange bikini on Sunday. In her post, she shared some tips for maintaining healthy skin and revealed some secrets about the makeup tricks celebrities use for red carpets and award shows.
“Have a body neutral 2025, but most importantly, love with every inch of your heart ♥️ Thanks for all the memories this year,” Nelly wrote in the caption.
She went on to talk about how she has become more aware of the beauty pressures related to her work. At the same time, she experienced higher levels of self-love and confidence from within.
The Grammy-winning singer also shared that she had to take legal action against people online who were spreading lies about her health and beauty. She clarified that she’s never had any surgeries or cosmetic procedures, except for getting veneers on her top teeth recently.
Nelly also made it clear that she has never used face or lip injections. Her youthful glow comes from visiting a trusted, old-school facialist, from whom she buys serums and creams. She has been doing this since she was 20.
The singer also revealed a few tricks she uses before photo shoots and red carpet events. She drinks plenty of water and sleeps on her back the day before. Sometimes, her makeup artist uses face tape to lift her eyes and skin. Additionally, her stylist sometimes uses body tape to create certain silhouettes. Body makeup is also used for contouring to achieve specific looks.
