Alexandra Kay Breaks Her Silence on Keith Urban and Maggie Baugh Romance Rumors
Country singer Alexandra Kay is setting the record straight after weeks of swirling speculation surrounding Keith Urban and his talented guitar player, Maggie Baugh.
In a heartfelt new interview with Taste of Country (Oct. 22), Kay addressed the rumors head-on — firmly denying that there’s any romantic connection between Urban, 57, and Baugh, 25.
“Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things people say… They’re stirring up rumors about Maggie Baugh, and I’m like, ‘She’s a good friend of mine, and I know that’s absolutely not true,’” Kay shared.

Kay went on to emphasize that Baugh is happily in a relationship and that the gossip linking her to Urban is completely false.
“I’ve met her boyfriend — she’s very happy, and she has nothing to do with that whole relationship [with Urban],” she added.
“I Feel Sad for Everyone Involved”
The “I Kinda Don’t” singer expressed sympathy for everyone caught in the rumor storm, calling for compassion and privacy.
“I feel sad for everybody involved that people are picking apart their personal life. I pray for peace for them and for everyone to have their privacy,” Kay said.
Representatives for both Keith Urban and Maggie Baugh have not yet commented on the situation.
Where the Rumors Began

Whispers of a possible relationship between Urban and Baugh began shortly after news broke that Urban and Nicole Kidman had separated following 19 years of marriage.
According to PEOPLE, Kidman, 58, officially filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Soon after, fans noticed Urban changing the lyrics to his hit song “The Fighter” — originally inspired by Kidman. During one live performance, Urban was heard singing,
“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
The playful lyric swap sent social media into overdrive after Maggie Baugh herself posted the clip on September 26 with the cheeky caption: “Did he just say that? 👀”
However, longtime fans pointed out that Urban has altered lyrics on stage before — including at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, when he performed the same song with Carrie Underwood, saying,
“Carrie Underwood, I’m gonna be your fighter!”
At a recent concert in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 17, Urban directly addressed the speculation.
“I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading s— into it. It’s called ‘You’ll Think of Me.’”

Standing Up for Truth and Friendship
As the rumors continue to fade, Alexandra Kay’s honest comments highlight a powerful message — not every lyric change or onstage moment deserves to become tabloid fuel.
Her defense of Maggie Baugh shows the strength of friendship in a business where gossip often overshadows truth.
Both Urban and Baugh remain focused on their music and upcoming performances, while Kay continues to rise as one of country music’s most authentic new voices — using her platform not for drama, but for dignity. 🎶
