Denise Richards Reveals the $1 Million Check She Never Cashed from Charlie Sheen Fans Are Shocked!
In true Hollywood fashion, Denise Richards just turned a forgotten piece of paper into a viral sensation — and it happens to be worth $1 million.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 54, playfully teased her ex-husband Charlie Sheen this week after stumbling upon an old check he wrote her back in 2011 — a check she never cashed.
“Found this during my recent move,” Richards joked in an Instagram Story on October 23, sharing a photo of the decade-old check. “I never cashed it, ©charliesheen. Is it still good?!”
The image showed Sheen’s signature, Richards’ name on the “pay to the order of” line, and that stunning seven-figure sum — $1,000,000 — signed on Christmas Eve 2011 from what Sheen called his “pocket account.” To make the moment even funnier, Denise set the clip to Pink Floyd’s legendary track “Money.”

A Playful Reminder of a Complicated Past
While most personal checks expire after six months, it’s clear this one was meant more as a sentimental find than a cashable asset. Still, fans couldn’t help but laugh — and wonder if Sheen might honor it anyway.
Nearly twenty years after their turbulent 2006 divorce, the two seem to be on amicable terms. In fact, Richards and Sheen were seen together in September at the Los Angeles premiere of his new Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen, where they shared smiles, a hug, and posed for photos.
The former couple share two daughters — Sami, 21, and Lola, 20 — and despite their past challenges, both have spoken openly about finding peace and humor in their history.
Inside Denise and Charlie’s Roller-Coaster Relationship

Richards and Sheen first met in 2000 while filming Good Advice and tied the knot in 2002. Their marriage was a whirlwind of fame, love, and public scrutiny — ultimately ending in 2006 amid Sheen’s well-publicized struggles.
In the recent documentary, Richards reflected emotionally on their journey, describing it in “three stages”:
“The time I met him and married him, then the divorce, and then the aftermath,” she said. “It was a lot — and I had to hold it together.”
She admitted she tried to keep things peaceful for their daughters:
“It’s not their fault we got divorced. They didn’t ask to be born into a family that’s super public and all this s—.”
For his part, Sheen, now 60, admitted he “made it a lot more difficult than it needed to be” and still feels “awful about that to this day.”
Finding Peace and Humor After All These Years

Despite the chaos of the past, both stars have shown immense growth. Sheen has been sober since 2017, and Richards recently shared in an interview that she holds no bitterness.
“Despite everything we went through, we can still have a sense of humor about it,” she said. “I wouldn’t have Sami and Lola if it weren’t for him.”
Richards, who is currently navigating a legal separation from Aaron Phypers, has proven once again that she can laugh in the face of chaos — even when it involves a million-dollar reminder from her wild Hollywood past.
