Elon Musk on Track to Hit $1 Trillion Net Worth While Living in a Tiny Box Home!
|Elon Musk is on his way to becoming the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, according to a new global wealth report.
The Tesla CEO, already the richest person alive, currently boasts a net worth of $251 billion, based on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
Informa Connect Academy reveals Musk’s fortune is expanding at a staggering annual rate of 110%. If this continues, he could hit the trillion-dollar milestone within the next three years.
The report, titled “2024 Trillion Dollar Club,” values Tesla at an impressive $669.3 billion.
The electric car company’s growth is just as stunning, with a rate of 173.3%, meaning Tesla could surpass $1 trillion as early as next year.
Despite his massive fortune, Musk lives a simple life in what many call a “box home.”
In 2020, Musk sold off his five lavish properties to live in a modest two-bedroom house in Boca Chica, Texas. Walter Isaacson, author of Musk’s biography, posted about this, sharing how Musk often worked at a wooden table in the small home.
Musk himself announced his decision that year, tweeting: “I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house,” and listed his multi-million-dollar California estates.
One follower asked why, and Musk replied with a single word: “Freedom.”
At the time, the combined value of his California homes exceeded $100 million.
In 2021, Musk described his current home, tweeting: “My primary home is literally a ~$50k house in Boca Chica/Starbase that I rent from SpaceX. It’s kinda awesome.”
He added: “The only house I own is an events house in the Bay Area. If I sold it, the house would get less use, unless a large family bought it.”
The New York Post identified Musk’s home as a 20×20 foldable prefabricated unit by Boxabl, a housing startup. The Boxabl Casita resembles a studio apartment with a living and sleeping area, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with a tub shower.
Even if Musk hits the trillion-dollar mark, it’s unlikely his modest lifestyle will change.
