Gas Prices in LA Just Hit a Shocking High—Here’s What You’ll Pay!

The price of gas in Los Angeles County has gone up again. On Sunday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas rose by 0.4 cents, reaching $4.776. This is the highest price since July 9.
Gas prices have gone up 21 times in the last 22 days. Right now, the average price is 12.9 cents higher than a week ago and 30 cents more than a month ago. However, it is still 3 cents lower than this time last year. According to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, gas prices have dropped by $1.718 since reaching a record high of $6.494 on October 5, 2022.
In Orange County, gas prices also increased by 0.4 cents, bringing the average to $4.754. This is the highest price there since June 11. Gas prices in Orange County have gone up for 20 days in a row. The average price is now 13.2 cents higher than a week ago, 32.5 cents more than a month ago, but 1.3 cents lower than a year ago. Prices have fallen by $1.705 since the record high of $6.459 on October 5, 2022.
Nationally, the average gas price has actually dropped slightly. On Sunday, it went down by 0.2 cents to $3.158. Even though this is 2.2 cents more than last week and 5.5 cents higher than a month ago, it is still 12.6 cents lower than a year ago. Since reaching a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022, the national average has decreased by $1.858.
