Hollywood star Henry Winkler is a happy grandfather. He says being a grandparent is very different from raising children. The beloved actor also shared the special house rules he has for his grandkids.
Henry Winkler turned 79 on October 30, 2024. He has had a great career in Hollywood, but he is also a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He often talks about how much he enjoys being a grandparent. Photos show the sweet bond he has with his grandkids, who each have their own special features.
Henry has not only had a great career, but he has also built a strong family. He married Stacey Weitzman in May 1978.
Together, they raised their children, Max and Zoe Winkler, as well as Stacey’s son from a previous marriage, Jed Weitzman.

Henry loves being a grandfather and finds it very fulfilling.
“It’s different from being a parent, but it feels just as special. We now have six and three-quarters grandkids. Each one is unique, and you have to connect with them in different ways,” Henry said.
Even though his grandkids have different personalities, Henry has a few simple house rules when they visit.
“When the youngest granddaughter is sleeping, there’s no yelling or fighting. The older kids must make sure their friends stay quiet. And no matter their age, from 14 to 7, they have to clear their dishes,” he explained.
Zoe’s three red-haired sons have freckles. In pictures, they wore light blue, white, and pastel shirts, looking happy and relaxed. They have been photographed at events and museums with their mother and grandmother.
Max’s daughter, Francis, is 2 years old. In one sweet moment, Henry smiled warmly at her while she played in the bathtub.

His eldest grandchild, India, suggested they dance together. Since then, Henry has made “seven or eight” TikTok videos featuring his grandkids as his dance partners.
In 2023, Henry appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and shared another way he bonds with them—through music. He makes up funny fruit-themed songs, singing about bananas, strawberries, and apples. He even sings these songs over FaceTime, which he says helps keep them connected.
Henry has had an amazing career, but his role as a grandfather brings him the most happiness.
