Pattie Mallette is a scriptwriter and producer. But most people know her as the mother of Justin Bieber, a famous pop star.

However, not many people know about her own life story and the difficulties she has had to deal with.

Justin Bieber is really famous, and a lot of people think he has everything anyone could want. But even though he’s a big star, he still has problems and goes through tough times. Sometimes, these things happen without everyone knowing about it.

Justin Bieber’s relationship with his mom, Pattie Mallette, hasn’t always been easy. And when you know about her difficult past, it’s not surprising that things got tough between them.

When Pattie was just 17, she had Justin. She was single and had faced many challenges before. Pattie raised Justin on her own in a small, not very rich area in Canada. She got some help from her parents, who are Justin’s grandparents.

Pattie went through a lot of abuse and violence for many years, starting when she was just 3 years old. She said, “The people who hurt me include a babysitter, the grandfather of one of my friends, and some kids from the neighborhood who were older than me.”

When she was 14, Pattie started using drugs and getting into trouble. She even got kicked out of school for setting a fire in the bathroom.

“My childhood was really hard,” Pattie told George Stroumboulopoulos. “But I loved art, and Justin and I both share that interest. It’s something we connect over.”

When she was 15, she started dating Jeremy Bieber. They stayed together for four years, but when she was 16, she left home and survived by stealing and selling drugs.

Because of her troubled past and ongoing issues, Pattie’s mental health got worse.

When she was 17, she felt really hopeless and even thought about ending her own life. She tried to do it. After that, she was sent to a mental hospital where they tried to change her using Christian conversion therapy.

After leaving the hospital, Pattie got in touch with old friends who didn’t follow her new religion. That’s when she reconnected with Jeremy Bieber.

They started dating again, and after six months, Pattie found out she was pregnant. Justin was born in London, Ontario, on March 1, 1994.

At first, Pattie and Jeremy kept dating even after Justin was born. But after a few months, they decided to break up.

Even though Pattie had been through a lot, she was always there for Justin. She supported him as he pursued his love for music. When he was a teenager, she even helped him enter the 2007 Stratford Star talent competition.

The singer, who’s a big star now, came second in a singing competition when he was younger. He sang a song by Ne-Yo called “So Sick.” His mom, Pattie, shared a video of his performance on YouTube. People really liked it, and Pattie kept posting more videos online.

In September 2012, Pattie wrote a book called “Nowhere But Up.” It was published by a Christian company called Revell. The book talked about Pattie’s tough childhood and how she used her faith and love to stay positive and be a good single mom to her son.

Nowadays, their relationship has changed.

“When your kids hit a certain age your parenting style changes and it is hard letting go,” Mallette told People in 2013, when her son turned 19 years old.

”His life was my life and now I’ve had to let him go a little bit and let him be independent. It is hard to not be able to control everything that your adult child does.”

After his enormous breakthrough, Justin Bieber was facing trouble with the law. He got arrested back in 2014 when police officers were forced to pull him over around 4 a.m. while he was street racing.

That incident led to a rift in the mother-son relationship.

“In 2015, I talked to Billboard about how I didn’t want my mom to be disappointed in me, but she was. We didn’t talk for a while, and it takes time to rebuild trust. It’s tough, but it’s getting better. She’s an amazing woman, and I love her,” the star said.

Today, the tough times Justin went through are almost forgotten, and Pattie is very proud of her son.

“I’m so proud of the amazing young man you are and the person you’re becoming. None of us are perfect, and we’ll always need patience and understanding for each other. But I see how you’re growing in your relationship with Jesus, and it shows in the choices you make and the good things you do. I admire your character and honesty. You’re growing up so well and are wise beyond your years,” she wrote on Instagram.

While Pattie was certainly challenged throughout her younger years, her turn to grace is truly an inspiration. Share this story on Facebook if you agree!
