Beyoncé and Jay-Z began dating in 2002. Although they are extremely famous, they kept their relationship private for years.

After six years together, they got married on April 4, 2008. The ceremony took place at Jay-Z’s Tribeca penthouse, with only close family and friends present. A guest described the event as very moving and spiritual.

At first, Jay-Z didn’t want to talk about their marriage. Just days after the wedding, he laughed off congratulations as if it hadn’t happened. However, when Beyoncé wore a large diamond ring at one of his concerts, their marriage became public.

Despite their strong connection and success, rumors and scandals soon began. Stories of Jay-Z’s partying and alleged cheating put pressure on their marriage.

In 2013, the first rumor involved Claudia Scheelen, a model turned retail manager. Reports claimed Jay-Z partied with her at a nightclub in Antwerp and spent £5,000 on a massive champagne bottle.

The Mirror also claimed that Jay-Z complimented the women in Antwerp, saying they were the most beautiful he’d ever seen.

However, Scheelen denied any romantic connection, writing on social media, “I was shocked when I saw my name mentioned in an article about Jay Z! The tabloids have used me as a topic for something that didn’t happen.”

In May 2014, things took a turn when a shocking video was leaked. The footage showed Beyoncé’s sister, Solange, attacking Jay-Z in an elevator after the Met Gala. Solange was seen kicking and swinging at him while Beyoncé stood nearby.

The trio later released a statement calling it a private family matter. “Families have problems and we’re no different,” they said.

Jay-Z and Solange apologized to each other, and the family moved on. Two months later, Beyoncé and Jay-Z continued their “On the Run” tour. But during this time, more rumors emerged.

In June 2014, tabloids linked Jay-Z to Casey Cohen, a reality TV star from “Princesses: Long Island.”

Cohen strongly denied the claims. She hired a lawyer and demanded an apology and retraction of the false stories. Cohen admitted to meeting Jay-Z and Beyoncé through her work as a VIP hostess but said their relationship was strictly professional.

Unfortunately, the rumors didn’t stop there.

By July 2014, reports surfaced that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were considering ending their marriage. Sources claimed they were seen without their wedding rings and said having a child hadn’t fixed their issues.

However, they didn’t separate. Instead, they channeled their emotions into their music.

In 2016, Beyoncé released her album “Lemonade,” which addressed the pain of infidelity. One of the most talked-about lines came from the song “Sorry.” Beyoncé sang, “He better call Becky with the good hair.”

Fans immediately wondered who “Becky” was, and two women were named during the speculation.

Fashion designer Rachel Roy was quickly accused of being “Becky.” She fueled the rumors by posting a photo with the caption, “Good hair don’t care.”

This post upset Beyoncé’s fans, leading to heavy backlash. People online called her out, with one user saying, “Rachel Roy just became the most hated woman in the world.”

Roy later denied the claims, writing that she respected love and families and didn’t support bullying. Beyoncé never confirmed anyone as “Becky,” but rumors continued to swirl.

In 2018, Jay-Z and Beyoncé released a joint album titled “Everything Is Love” under the name The Carters. It showed that they had worked through their problems and were still united.

In 2022, Beyoncé dedicated her “Renaissance” album to her family and husband. One song, “Plastic Off the Sofa,” hints at forgiveness and imperfection, showing their strong bond.

Beyoncé’s 2024 venture into country music included a reimagined version of “Jolene.” The lyrics suggest strength and loyalty, saying, “It takes more than beauty… to come between a family and a happy man.”
