Country music star Jelly Roll is turning heads with his incredible weight loss transformation — and his new high-fashion wardrobe.
The Grammy-nominated singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, recently performed at the Grace of the World event in Vatican City, where he stepped out in a sleek Louis Vuitton outfit that highlighted his slimmer figure. Dressed in a collared jacket, black button-up shirt, and matching pants, the 40-year-old proudly shared photos of the moment on Instagram.
In his caption, Jelly Roll joked about his new shopping habits, writing: “I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account.”

Jelly Roll’s appearance marks a milestone in his ongoing weight loss journey. Once weighing over 550 pounds, the country star has been open about his lifelong struggle with food addiction. In 2022, he made a decision to prioritize his health and began making significant lifestyle changes.
By 2024, he had dropped more than 110 pounds through exercise, healthier eating habits, and a renewed focus on self-discipline. An estimated 60 to 70 pounds of that weight came off during his four-month Beautifully Broken tour, where he swapped late-night partying for daily workouts and nutritious meals.
“It’s cool because there was once a time in life that the culture I built on tour was the opposite,” Jelly Roll explained. “It revolved around alcohol and drugs. And now our tour culture is around good eating, exercising, and doing emotional check-ins with the crew every day.”
The transformation has also been fueled by daily walks and runs, which helped him shed an additional 70 pounds while training for the 2 Bears 5K alongside comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura. Working with nutritionist Chef Ian Larios, Jelly Roll stayed consistent with high-protein meals prepared on tour to help him maintain progress.
Despite the popularity of weight loss drugs like Ozempic, Jelly Roll has clarified that his transformation was achieved naturally. He admitted he was hesitant to try medication because of concerns about acid reflux potentially damaging his vocal cords.
Now, with renewed energy and confidence, the star has set another ambitious goal: landing on the cover of Men’s Health by 2026. “I wanna have one of the biggest transformations,” he said, determined to continue inspiring fans with both his music and his health journey.
