Jennifer Lopez Steps Out with Child Emme at ‘Othello’ Opening Night Red Carpet in NYC

Jennifer Lopez & Emme Shine on Broadway Red Carpet — A Night to Remember with Her Teen Daughter

Jennifer Lopez and her 17-year-old child Emme made a dazzling appearance on March 23, lighting up the red carpet at the premiere of the Broadway revival of Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The glamorous mother-daughter duo turned heads with their unique styles. J.Lo stunned in a sparkling two-piece ensemble, complete with a dramatic full-length skirt and a sleek black coat. Meanwhile, Emme brought their own flair to the night, donning a chic pinstriped suit paired with a gray shirt, patterned tie, and bold earrings.

Jennifer shares Emme and their twin brother Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The superstar mom frequently shares heartfelt messages about her children on social media, especially during milestones like their 17th birthday this past February.

“Seventeen. I love you beyond forever,” she wrote in a moving Instagram tribute, which included a touching montage of memories over the years.

On Mother’s Day 2024, Lopez opened up even more, writing:

“Thank you for giving me the privilege and gift to be your mother. The most beautiful blessing of my life… Every day I wake up thinking how I can be a better mother to you.”

“Lulu and Max, I’m here FOREVER to support you, to remind you of your greatness and your limitless capability. You. Can. Do. Anything.”

The love for her children doesn’t stop at big holidays. Last July, Lopez called them her “whole heart 💚🤍” in a touching Instagram post with photos from their childhood.

But being the child of a global superstar isn’t always easy. In a candid interview with Audacy in 2023, Jennifer admitted the challenges her kids face growing up in the spotlight.

“Being the child of famous parents is something not many can understand,” she said. “They didn’t choose that, and now people often judge them before knowing who they really are.”

J.Lo also revealed that her kids, like many teenagers, push back and ask tough questions.

“You probably remember giving your mom a hard time as a teen,” she told Vogue Mexico. “It’s not that they’re bad kids—they just want to understand the world around them.”

✨ From the red carpet to real-life reflections, Jennifer Lopez shows that being a mother is her most important role yet.
