Dan Harary confirmed her death to The Hollywood Reporter. He shared that Jill passed away at Cedars-Sinai’s Culver West Health Center after battling a long-term illness. Dan expressed his sadness, saying Jill would be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her dogs, Benny and Kowalski.
The cause of Jill’s death has not been shared, but it is known that she had been dealing with a long-term illness. In September 2024, Jill revealed that she had been receiving treatment for esophageal cancer for over two years. She spoke about how tough the treatment had been, saying, “You can’t function, you just can’t function.”
Despite the difficulty, Jill used her experience to help others. She became a volunteer and spokesperson for the American Cancer Society, earning recognition for her work. Jill said, “It makes you want to help people,” and was grateful for the opportunity to give back.
