Jimmy Carter Arrives at Rosalynn’s Funeral After Speaking Out About Her Passing
|The blanket Jimmy Carter was wrapped in for his wife’s funeral paid homage to Rosalynn, their love story, and their life together.
The black and white blanket showcased a portrait of Rosalynn and himself with the text “The Carters” and “Est. 1885” embroidered on it, which honored the town where they met as children, Plains, Georgia.

The video also shows current President Joe Biden in attendance, as well as several former presidents and First Ladies.
Jimmy Carter has spoken out for the first time since his beloved wife’s passing.
“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” he said in a statement. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
As new reports shared with the world earlier today, just 3 days after entering hospice, Rosalynn Carter, former First Lady of the United States, has passed away on November 19.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, the Carter Center shared the update regarding the health of Rosalynn Carter, 96, the wife of former President of the United States Jimmy Carter on Thursday, CNN reports.
“Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has entered hospice care at home. She and President Carter are spending time with each other and their family. The Carter family continues to ask for privacy and remains grateful for the outpouring of love and support,” the statement shared on behalf of Jason Carter, the Carters’ grandson, read.
The announcement comes months after Jimmy Carter, 99, also entered into hospice in February
Six months ago, Rosalynn was diagnosed with dementia. However, not much more information has been shared with the public about her health
