Keanu Reeves Shares Shocking Injury Details from His Latest Film – You Won’t Believe What Happened

Keanu Reeves is one of the most loved celebrities of his generation. There is probably no one who has met him who would say anything bad about him. So, when the beloved actor shared some unfortunate news, many people became concerned.

Keanu has recently been busy filming his latest project, *Good Fortune*. He appeared on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert* earlier this week and told a story that worried some fans.

The 59-year-old actor explained how he broke his kneecap while filming. Known for his action-packed roles in movies like *The Matrix* and the *John Wick* series, Reeves revealed that he was injured by something quite ordinary.

The actor responded playfully in a tough-guy voice, saying, “No one got to me,” and added, “The accident got to me.”

“Were you jumping from building to building? Were you doing a cartwheel past razor blades? What were you doing?” Stephen asked him further.

“No, Stephen, I was just walking into the dressing room, a room. Let me explain it quickly,” Keanu clarified.

Keanu shared that the injury happened while he was filming a scene for an upcoming comedy called *Good Fortune* with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen. The three of them were in a cold plunge, and Keanu was enjoying it. After they finished, he started doing the “cold shuffle” in a room with protective carpets. Unfortunately, his foot got caught in a pocket while he was moving.

To demonstrate what happened, Keanu stood up and walked in front of Stephen’s desk, showing how his knee gave way. “And I spiked. Like, spiked,” he said, mimicking the movement. “I just drove it into the ground.”

“My patella, kneecap, cracked like a potato chip. But I didn’t know that at first. Then my knee started swelling up,” Keanu continued.

“Comedy is hard, man,” Keanu added as a joke.

“This was not an action film with Aziz and Rogen,” Stephen clarified again.

“No, it was a comedy,” Keanu confirmed.

“Welcome to my life,” Stephen joked.

Keanu was seen filming on crutches in January this year, with an ice pack on his knee.

*Good Fortune* not only stars Aziz Ansari but will also mark his directorial debut. Aziz wrote and co-produced the movie, which also features Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.
