Marie Osmond Reveals Why Her 7 Kids Won’t Inherit Her Wealth

Marie Osmond is a famous actress and singer with a long career in Hollywood. She has worked in movies, music, TV shows, and more, becoming known all over the world.

Marie was born on October 13, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, into a big family already involved in show business. Her journey to success started when she was very young, but it wasn’t easy.

Marie has eight brothers and is the only girl in her family. Her brothers performed as a group called “The Osmond Brothers,” managed by their father. They became famous in 1962 after appearing on “The Andy Williams Show.”

Even though she was just a toddler at the time, Marie joined her brothers on TV. Her siblings worked very hard, memorizing scripts, learning songs in different languages, playing instruments, and dancing. Their hard work paid off as the “Osmond Brothers” became popular worldwide.

Marie later started her own music career. In 1973, she released her first album, Paper Roses, which became a hit on country and pop charts. This success marked the beginning of her incredible solo career.

Marie released more albums like In My Little Corner of the World and Who’s Sorry Now. She also collaborated with her brother Donny on songs like “Morning Side of the Mountain” and “I’m Leaving It All Up to You.” In 1976, they began a TV show called Donny & Marie, which featured their family and welcomed famous guests. The show ended in 1979, but Marie and Donny reunited years later for an 11-year Las Vegas residency.

Throughout her career, Marie appeared in movies like Rose Petal Place and co-hosted TV shows such as The Talk. She also reinvented herself many times to stay relevant in the entertainment world.

When Marie was 18, her mother called to tell her that her brothers had lost all their money—around $100 million. This news motivated Marie to take charge of her life and work even harder. Over the years, she has written three bestselling books and competed on Dancing with the Stars, finishing in fifth place.

Despite her many achievements, Marie is still working. She says work has always been her safe place, helping her stay focused during tough times. Performing allowed her to escape her problems, even if just for an hour.

Marie credits her success to her parents, who taught her and her siblings the value of hard work. Looking back, she feels blessed to have had such a long career. Although she once thought she’d retire by now, she is grateful her fans still support her.

Marie has also devoted her life to raising her children. She has eight kids—Stephen Jr., Jessica, Rachel, Michael, Abigail, Brandon, Matthew, and Brianna. Sadly, her son Michael passed away in 2010 at the age of 18. Four of her children are adopted, and all are doing well in life. Marie loves being a grandmother and calls herself a “fun grandma.”

Marie has made it clear that she won’t leave her children an inheritance. Instead, she plans to give her money to charity. She believes giving her kids a fortune would do them a disservice by depriving them of the chance to work hard and find their own success. Marie wants her children to learn the value of effort and the joy of achieving things on their own.
