Michael Keaton recently admitted that he wasn’t happy with his performance in the movie *Dumbo*. He felt he let down the director, Tim Burton, and said he was “clueless” and “sucked” in the film.

Burton, who was also in the interview, didn’t seem to agree, saying he didn’t know what Keaton was talking about. Keaton played V. A. Vandevere in the live-action version of *Dumbo*, alongside Danny DeVito and Colin Farrell.

Interestingly, Burton mentioned he thought about retiring after making *Dumbo*, but not because of Keaton’s performance. Burton reflected on his career while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and said that working on *Wednesday* and the *Beetlejuice* sequel helped him feel refreshed and excited about filmmaking again.

The sequel to *Beetlejuice* recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and will be released in theaters on September 6.
