New Jay Cutler DUI Arrest Video Leaks Former NFL Star Caught Lying About Drinking
The fallout continues for former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, as newly released bodycam footage reveals the tense moments leading up to his DUI arrest in Franklin, Tennessee — and the moment he was caught lying to police about drinking.
The video, released Thursday by TMZ Sports, comes just days after the 42-year-old ex-Chicago Bears quarterback completed a two-and-a-half-day jail sentence related to his October 2024 DUI bust.

Caught on Camera: “None… A Little Bit”
In the footage, a Franklin police officer can be heard asking Cutler how much alcohol he had consumed after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle.
“None,” Cutler initially replied.
The officer immediately pushed back, warning him not to lie. When asked again, Cutler changed his answer slightly:
“A little bit.”
Moments later, after refusing to take a field sobriety test, Cutler was handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol car. He did not resist arrest.

Legal Trouble and Plea Deal
Cutler was booked on charges of DUI and gun possession following the October 2024 incident. Reports later surfaced that he allegedly offered the other driver $2,000 not to call police, according to TMZ.
In the months that followed, the former NFL quarterback reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. He pled guilty to one misdemeanor count of DUI, while the weapons charge was dismissed as part of the deal.
He was sentenced to four days in jail, with credit for time served, and ordered to complete one year of unsupervised probation along with a $350 fine. Cutler officially surrendered in late September to begin his brief jail term.

Ongoing Legal Battle
Though Cutler has already served his sentence, his legal troubles aren’t over. According to Us Weekly, he is now being sued by the driver involved in the crash.
The lawsuit claims that the plaintiff suffered “physical and mental suffering, emotional distress, and a loss of enjoyment of life” as a result of the collision.

A Fall from Grace
Jay Cutler was once among the NFL’s most recognizable quarterbacks. Drafted 11th overall by the Denver Broncos in 2006, he went on to have a 12-season career, spending most of it with the Chicago Bears (2009–2016) before a final season with the Miami Dolphins in 2017.
Cutler’s off-field life also kept him in the public eye. He was married to reality star Kristin Cavallari — known for MTV’s Laguna Beach and The Hills — from 2013 to 2022, and the pair share three children together.

Now, the former NFL star faces renewed public scrutiny as the bodycam footage circulates online — a stark reminder of how quickly fame and reputation can collide with real-life consequences.
