Pink Hospitalized Ahead of Neck Surgery as She Awaits “Shiny New Discs”
Pink Begins 2026 Hospitalized, Preparing for Neck Surgery: “Two New Shiny Discs”
Pop icon Pink is entering the new year focused on healing and renewal after spending New Year’s Eve in the hospital awaiting neck surgery — a moment she described with honesty, humor, and resilience.
The Grammy-winning singer shared the update in a heartfelt Instagram post on December 31, revealing that while her family rang in the new year snowboarding, she was preparing for a medical procedure to replace two discs in her neck.
“I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,” Pink wrote, reflecting on what she called a year that ranged from “absolutely devastating to mildly annoying.”
Rather than framing the procedure with fear, the 46-year-old artist approached it with gratitude and perspective.

“It may not be a fancy facelift,” she joked, “but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck — a new scar, a new reminder that I appreciate this vessel that I have and will use it for all it’s worth.”
A Quiet New Year Focused on Recovery
Pink, who shares daughter Willow, 14, and son Jameson, 8, with husband Carey Hart, did not disclose how she injured her neck but hinted that years of high-energy performances may have played a role.
“Rock ’n’ roll is a contact sport,” she added.
While sitting alone in her hospital room as her family enjoyed the slopes, Pink said she felt certain about what lay ahead.
“I know that 2026 is going to be better,” she wrote. “Because that is the choice that I have made.”
Choosing Gratitude Over Setbacks
Despite the physical challenges of the past year, Pink emphasized that she found beauty in simply being present for her children and supporting their dreams.
“I got to wake up every day and go about the business of loving my children,” she shared. “Showing them that life is an adventure — or nothing at all.”

Her message resonated as more than a health update. It was a declaration of intent — to prioritize healing, protect personal choices, and actively choose optimism.
“I choose joy,” she wrote. “I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness.”
A Message to Fans Entering the New Year
Pink closed her message with words directed at her fans around the world, offering a hopeful wish as 2026 begins.
“Happy New Year,” she wrote. “May you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, and more love than hatred.”
As she recovers and prepares for the year ahead, Pink’s message stands as a reminder that resilience isn’t about avoiding hardship — it’s about choosing how to move forward through it.
