Tattoo addict inks 95 percent of his body, reveals what he looked like just 5 years ago

Tattoos serve as a means of expressing individuality, with some opting for subtle ink while others embrace extensive body art.

Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo apprentice, attracted attention for his extreme body modifications, contrasting starkly with his appearance prior to tattooing.

Despite the common association of tattoos with personal significance, Weigelt clarified that his body art carries no hidden messages or meanings.

The dramatic transformation from his pre-tattooed state is striking. Weigelt embarked on his tattoo journey at the age of 20, ultimately covering 95 percent of his body.

Reflecting on his appearance sans tattoos, he remarked, “It’s kind of weird looking at myself without all the tattoos,” yet noted that internally, he remains unchanged.

Of all his tattoos, Weigelt identified those on his face and head as the most agonizing, likening the sensation to being scraped with a metal brush. Enduring six full-day sessions, each lasting five to six hours, he endured significant discomfort, rating the pain level as an eight out of ten.

Over the course of five years, Weigelt has invested $50,000 into his tattoo collection.

Offering advice to prospective tattoo enthusiasts, Weigelt emphasizes the importance of choosing designs that resonate personally. He encourages individuals to prioritize their own preferences and not worry excessively about whether a tattoo conforms to a certain aesthetic or style. For him, the key is embracing what one genuinely enjoys.

Indeed, Weigelt’s journey is undeniably remarkable.
As for myself, the notion of adorning my entire body with tattoos gives me pause. It’s a significant commitment that I’m uncertain I’d be prepared to undertake.
