‘The Five’ Breaks the Internet with Record-Breaking Viewership in 2022

Fox News has once again topped the ratings, beating MSNBC and CNN by a large margin. In fact, 2022 was the third-best year ever for cable news when looking at total daily viewers. Fox News has been the number one cable network for the past seven years in both primetime and total day ratings.

What makes Fox News stand out is its ability to attract viewers with different political views. According to Nielsen/MRI Fusion data, Fox News gets the most Democrats, Independents, and Republicans watching compared to other networks. It also appeals to younger viewers, with the highest number of people aged 25 to 54 tuning in.

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott expressed her pride in the network’s success in 2022. She credited their unique mix of news and opinion programs, which bring in viewers from all political backgrounds. This isn’t just talk – Fox News captured an impressive 53% of viewers aged 25-54 during daytime hours.
