This 16-Pound Baby Shook The World In 1983—What He Looks Like Today Will Leave You Speechless

In 1983, Patricia Clarke, who was 24 years old and pregnant, had a feeling her baby would be big.

She already knew large babies ran in her family since she had given birth to one before. But the size of this baby turned out to be way beyond what she expected.

Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clarke, who weighed over 16 pounds. He was the largest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey at that time.

Despite his huge size, Kevin was completely healthy. He didn’t fit in a regular baby cot, and none of the baby clothes fit him either.

His size was obvious right from the start. Kevin quickly became famous and was featured on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”

Kevin’s attention didn’t stop there. According to the New York Post, by the time he was 12 years old, he was already 5 feet 7 inches tall.

When he entered junior high, he had grown to 6 feet 5 inches and kept growing from there.

“People ask me every day how tall I am,” Kevin said in an interview.

“I joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When they ask if I play basketball, I ask if they play miniature golf.”

Now, Kevin is 40 years old. He lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane. He is also a former soldier.

Being taller than most people is something Kevin has learned to handle. He walks with long strides and doesn’t let his height bother him. Today, Kevin is 6 feet 9 inches tall.

Growing up with so much attention must have been hard, but Kevin seems to have handled it well.

We hope his future is bright and full of happiness!
