Why Kirk Cameron Packed His Bags and Moved to Tennessee – You Won’t Believe Why!

Kirk Cameron, known for his role in Growing Pains, has become one of the many celebrities choosing to leave California. He announced his decision to move out of the Golden State on Wednesday.

Cameron explained that his choice to leave was influenced by seeing California go in a direction that has led to “so much division.” He felt it was time for a change.

The father of six has now moved to Tennessee. Part of the reason for this move is that three of his grown children already live there. He also wanted to find a place that offered what he called a “healthy freedom mindset.”

Cameron shared with the Washington Examiner that Tennessee feels like a good place to be, especially if there are serious economic issues or growing division. He mentioned wanting to be around people who value God, family, and country.

Kirk Cameron found out that he’s not alone in leaving California for Tennessee. He noticed there are a lot of “California refugees” living in Tennessee now.

“It’s surprising how many Californians are here,” he said. “When I see them in the grocery store, I joke with them, ‘Don’t California our Tennessee.’”

Just like his sister Candace Cameron Bure, many people have left California because they’re looking for “safety and security.” Cameron thinks Tennessee is a popular choice for former Californians because it has “good wholesome values and, just as important, good whiskey,” making it a more attractive place to live.
