Shirley MacLaine’s 89th Birthday Surprise: Her Confession About Prime Ministers

Shirley MacLaine is 89 years old, but she’s not taking it easy!

She’s an actress who won an important award called the Academy Award. Even at her age, she’s often seen in Hollywood enjoying martinis while eating out.

Shirley MacLaine says her life is really great right now. She enjoys eating and sleeping whenever she wants, and she spends a lot of time with her pet rat terriers on her ranch in New Mexico.

Shirley was born on April 24, 1934. She started her amazing career in New York on Broadway. In 1955, when she was 21 years old, she got a lot of attention for her role in Alfred Hitchcock’s funny and dark movie, “The Trouble with Harry.”

She said Hitchcock was a fun person to be around. She joked, “I’m glad I wasn’t tall, skinny, mysterious, and beautiful, or I might not have liked him.”

Sachi believes that a man named Paul, who was an astronaut, is her real father, even though Shirley says it’s not true. Because of this, their relationship has become strained, and they’re said to not talk anymore.

Shirley has talked openly about her different ideas about love and relationships. When she spoke with Oprah Winfrey in 2011, she shared about her past with her ex-husband Steve Parker. Then, in 2012, she surprised everyone by saying she had been with not just one, but two prime ministers in her life.

In her book “Out on a Limb,” Shirley talked about meeting a politician in a fancy hotel in Sweden. She called him “Gerry.” Even though Olof Palme, the Swedish prime minister at the time, denied it, many people thought she was talking about him. She also mentioned being with Andrew Peacock, who was the Australian Foreign Minister, and Pierre Trudeau, who was the Canadian Prime Minister.

She had good things to say about Trudeau. She thought he was smart and had a strong presence. She also liked his kids, who she thought were really cute and a bit mischievous.
