Fans Boycott the Grammys Over Taylor Swift – “Not Watching This Year!
The Recording Academy’s decision to have a famous singer as a presenter at the 67th Grammy Awards has led to mixed reactions online. Some fans are thrilled, while others are unhappy and say they won’t watch the show.
The 67th Grammy Awards will take place on February 2, 2025, airing on CBS and Paramount+. But after the Recording Academy confirmed Taylor Swift’s role in the event, many people expressed frustration.
On January 30, 2025, the Recording Academy announced that Swift would be a presenter. Soon after, social media users shared their disappointment, saying they see too much of her already.
One Facebook user commented, “Another show I won’t be watching. I see enough of her in football.” Others on X were more direct, with one person saying, “Taylor Swift needs to be stopped,” and another writing, “I am outraged.”
Some were shocked, with one person asking, “Oh god, who did this 😞,” and another saying, “We don’t want to see her.” One simply wrote, “Unfortunately,” while another added, “I’m shocked.”
Despite this, Swift’s fans were excited. One Instagram user wrote, “I’m sooooo excited 😭,” while another commented, “WE ARE SO READY FOR IT 😍😍😍.”
The 67th Grammy Awards will be a full day of music celebrations. The event starts with the Premiere Ceremony at 3:30 PM ET / 12:30 PM PT, where early winners will be announced. This will stream live on LIVE.GRAMMY.COM and YouTube.

Swift, despite the backlash, remains a big part of the Grammys, with six nominations. While her role as a presenter has sparked debate, she is expected to be a major part of the night, whether people tune in or not.
Recently, Swift faced criticism after attending the first Chiefs’ game of 2025 to support her boyfriend, who plays as a tight end.
Swift arrived at the Texans-Chiefs Playoff Game on January 18, where she sat next to basketball star Caitlin Clark. Fans quickly reacted to her unique way of walking.
She wore an oversized black-and-white Chanel tweed coat over a wool jersey jumpsuit. She completed the look with a silver Chanel belt, a black quilted Chanel mini bag, and black leather gloves.
Her outfit also included Chanel cuffed boots and semi-sheer black tights. She accessorized with silver Chanel logo earrings, her signature red lipstick, and loose hair. While many admired her look, others focused on how she walked.

Travis Kelce caught seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown, putting on a great performance. Swift and Caitlin Clark cheered from their seats.
