Dolly Parton Mourns the Loss of Her Beloved Brother, Coy “Denver” Parton

The Parton family is grieving another heartbreaking loss.

Coy “Denver” Parton, one of Dolly Parton’s older brothers and the third of the family’s 12 children, has passed away at the age of 82. While he spent most of his life away from the spotlight, those closest to him knew him as an important part of the close-knit family that helped shape one of country music’s biggest icons.

Unlike Dolly and several of his siblings who pursued careers in entertainment, Coy chose a much quieter life, rarely making public appearances. Even so, family has always been at the center of the Partons’ story, and Dolly has often spoken about the love, faith, and strong bond they shared while growing up together in rural Tennessee.

The Parton family has endured several painful losses over the years, making this latest farewell especially emotional for those who have followed Dolly’s remarkable journey. Fans from around the world have already begun sharing messages of love, prayers, and support as the family remembers another cherished sibling.

As tributes continue to pour in, many are also looking back on Coy’s life and the remarkable family legacy that produced one of country music’s most beloved stars.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dolly Parton, the entire Parton family, and everyone whose life was touched by Coy “Denver” Parton. May he rest in peace. ❤️
