Megyn Kelly Slams Charlize Theron’s “One-Night Stand” Comment: “It Feels Weird and Vulgar”
|Megyn Kelly Slams Charlize Theron’s ‘Vulgar’ One-Night Stand Confession: “It Feels Weird and Off-Putting” 💥🎙️
Megyn Kelly isn’t holding back.
The former Fox News anchor launched a fiery critique of Charlize Theron after the Oscar-winning actress opened up about a recent one-night stand with a 26-year-old man during an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
Speaking on her SiriusXM show, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly took direct aim at both Theron’s explicit language and the nature of her revelations—calling them “vulgar,” “off-putting,” and inappropriate” for a star of her caliber.
“She’s 49 years old, trying to sound like she’s 26. It feels weird. She’s one of our biggest stars—act like it. Have some class,” Kelly said bluntly.
The Podcast That Sparked the Fire
Theron appeared on the widely followed podcast hosted by Alex Cooper, where she boldly shared:
“I did just recently f–k a 26-year-old, and it was really amazing… I’ve never done that. And I was like, ‘Oh, this is great.’”
She went on to advocate for female sexual empowerment, saying:
“Women should be the ones that are like, ‘F–k you, I’m going to have an orgasm.’”
But for Kelly, the message didn’t land as empowering—it came across as crass and attention-seeking.
Kelly Questions Theron’s Authenticity and Intentions
During her response, Kelly questioned whether Theron’s statements were even authentic, suggesting that the actress might be misrepresenting her sexuality for publicity:
“I kind of call bullsh–, because I believe that Charlize Theron probably prefers women. That’s my belief. I’m entitled to my opinion,” Kelly said.
She added that the overuse of profanity during the interview made Theron appear as if she were “trying too hard to be cool” rather than acting with the grace expected of someone in her position.
“I love a good F-bomb… but every sentence? ‘F this, F that, F God’? It’s just bizarre.”
Kelly Takes Aim at Theron’s Views on Parenting
Theron, a single mother of two adopted daughters—Jackson and August—also touched on the freedom she feels raising her children without a male partner.
Kelly found this stance troubling:
“She’s super proud of the fact that there’s no father in the picture? Great. Good for you,” Kelly said sarcastically.
“But… it’s a very strange thing to see one of our most recognizable actresses talking so casually about sex, orgasms, and parenting on a podcast like this.”
A Look Back: Theron’s Views on Sexuality
This isn’t the first time Theron has addressed her sexuality. In 2017, on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was asked whether she had “dipped in the lady pond.”
“When I was young, yes,” she replied.
“But I’m old school—I really like dudes.”
While she identifies as heterosexual, Theron has been vocal about bisexual representation in media, especially around the release of her 2017 film Atomic Blonde, in which she played a bisexual spy.
Theron’s Romantic History
Charlize Theron has never married but has been romantically linked to several high-profile figures over the years:
-
Stuart Townsend (2001–2010)
-
Sean Penn (2013–2015)
-
Others include Alexander Skarsgård, Gabriel Aubry, and Alex Dimitrijevic
Though reportedly on the celebrity dating app Raya, Theron has shared her disappointment with dating culture, saying:
“You better bring your A-game. I won’t settle for less than what I’m giving myself.”
“You Never See Julia Roberts Doing This”
To end her segment, Megyn Kelly drew a stark contrast between Theron and other high-profile actresses.
“You never see Julia Roberts do this kind of thing,” she said.
“She doesn’t debase herself for attention—because she’s a true star.”
As of now, Charlize Theron and Alex Cooper have not publicly responded to Kelly’s remarks. But one thing is certain: the culture clash between celebrity candor and conservative values isn’t going away anytime soon.
