Rosie O’Donnell reveals precise Mounjaro dosage while claiming she’s ‘never experienced’ any side effects
Rosie O’Donnell is gradually increasing her dosage of Mounjaro.
The former talk show host discussed her experience with the weight loss medication during a recent episode of the podcast “Bleep! With Ana Navarro”.
The 64-year-old revealed to listeners, “I started with the lowest dose of 2.5 milligrams for a year… Then I moved to 5 for a year, and now I’m wrapping up my year at 7.5.” She has lost around 60 pounds over three years.

The ex-host of “The View” mentioned that she plans to increase the dosage only one more time before maintaining it.
She shared, “I chose to take it slow because I’ve noticed how quick weight loss can overwhelm me due to everyone’s reactions.”
O’Donnell added, “I prefer this gradual approach. It feels good not to be sick, and I’ve never experienced any side effects at all.”

When Navarro inquired if she had ever needed to rush to the restroom because of the GLP-1 medication, O’Donnell firmly responded.
“Never,” said the Daytime Emmy winner. “However, I stayed at 2.5 for a whole year, despite my doctor suggesting I increase my dosage. I felt fine as it was.”
O’Donnell first disclosed her use of Mounjaro in January 2023, sharing on TikTok that she had received the prescription for the drug, along with Rapatha, two months earlier.

She described it as something that changes her mindset, explaining, “It’s strange… I hardly think about food at all and have a significantly reduced appetite.”
Additionally, she mentioned, “I significantly cut back on drinking five or six Diet Cokes daily. Now, I only consume water and avoid sugar as much as possible.”
At that time, she had already lost 10 pounds and continued to showcase her “smaller body” on social media in the following years.

Recently, O’Donnell credited the type 2 diabetes medication for significantly improving her health.
In a July interview with People, she expressed a desire to promote Mounjaro commercially, saying, “I wish they would lower the price instead of compensating me. I understand the shame and humiliation faced by those struggling with obesity.”
O’Donnell feels “much healthier and more empowered” thanks to her transformation.
