Pawn Stars star Adam Harrison’s tragic passing at the age of 39 due to a fentanyl overdose has been confirmed by Rick’s representative. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is actively investigating the sudden demise.

The unexpected loss of Adam Harrison has left everyone in shock. Rick’s representative, Laura Herlovich, informed PEOPLE that Adam died from a fentanyl overdose. TMZ initially reported the incident on January 19, indicating an overdose, and later, the cause was specified as fentanyl.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has corroborated the ongoing investigation to TMZ.

During this challenging time, Herlovich released a statement on behalf of the Harrisons to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, stating, “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”

Rick, in an Instagram statement, posted a photo of the father-son duo, expressing, “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.” Additionally, Rick shared nostalgic photos with his son on Tuesday, captioning them: “Amazing memories.”

Adam was the second child of Rick and his ex-wife, Kim, and the younger brother of Corey Harrison. Rick later remarried Tracy, and the couple had a son, Jake.

Although Adam did not make appearances on Pawn Stars alongside Rick and Corey, reports suggest he worked at Gold & Silver Pawn before the reality program premiered in 2009.
