A mom who has 10 kids is taking care of her own son and two other kids she adopted.

A mom from the UK, Alicia Dougherty, is raising her son and his adopted twins like they’re all siblings. She has 10 kids in total—six adopted and four biological. Alicia shares their family’s life on TikTok with a page called the “Dougherty Dozen.” People are excited about her story, especially a viral video where she talks about treating her son and his adopted twin brothers as triplets, even though they’re different races and heights.

When someone asked Alicia a question about her “triplets,” she replied.

“Our adopted twins and biological son are all born in 2014 and in second grade and have been raised as triplets most of their lives.

“Don’t tell them they’re not triplets or they will tear you apart.”

Naturally, Alicia’s decision struck a chord with people online, who praised her compassion. The three boys, meanwhile, are totally devoted to one another.

Alicia, the mom with 10 kids, talked to The Sun newspaper about how some people online made fun of her for having a big family, even though she adopted six children with behavioral issues and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Despite the negativity, Alicia explained that they focus on being happy and true to themselves. She mentioned that some people say they hate their smiles, but she believes they are all genuinely happy. Alicia appreciates the support from those who have checked in on them during times of online trolling, and she assures everyone that they are doing well.

Alicia surprised some people when she shared how much she spends on groceries each week for her big family. She buys 25 bananas, 12 pounds of chicken, and 191 bags of potato chips. The total cost is $1,094, which adds up to about $56,000 in a year.

Alicia uses TikTok to keep everyone updated on her family’s life, and her account, Dougherty Dozen, has a whopping 4.4 million followers and 168.1 million likes. She and her partner are earning a lot of respect for creating such a loving home.
